September Kindness Awards
This year we are starting something new at the Boyd County MS/HS. We want to reward students who are caught putting the "I" in KIND. The staff watches for acts of kindness, and when they witness one, they fill out a slip and bring it to the office. At the beginning of every month we will draw a middle school name and a high school name. The students who get their name drawn will get to take their picture by the new "Be the 'I' in Kind" banner in the gym, get a free lollipop from the Freshman class fundraiser, and they get to eat first for a whole week! The students who don't get their name drawn will not go home empty handed. Those students will also get a free lollipop from the Freshman class fundraiser. Thanks to the Boyd County National Honor Society (seen in the photo above handing out certificates) for promoting kindness within our school!
This year's first winners are Peyton Luber (5th grade), and Catalina Knox (11th grade).
Other acts of kindness where shown throughout the school by Austina Latorra, John Haun, Jenny Goesch, Cora Roth, and Camden Brewer.
Thank you to all of these students for letting their awesomness shine by being so kind!
Peyton put the "I" in Kind by giving another student a pencil when they could not find one.
Catalina put the "I" in Kind by inviting a new student to join their work group, and went to get her a chair.
