Fletcher Brings Blood Drive to BC

On Monday, January 22nd, senior Katelyn Fletcher held a Blood Drive for the school and community. Sponsored by LifeServe Blood Center. This blood drive was held in Spencer Gym from 9am to 3pm and opened to the community and all students and staff in the Spencer Campus. Each donor helps save 3 lives and also has the ability to find out their blood type! Katelyn also was eligible to receive a scholarship based on the amount of recipients that registered. Although a misfortune postponement of basketball games didn’t allow basketball players to donate, there was still an amazing turnout of 25 eligible donors throughout the day! This made Katelyn eligible for a $250 scholarship from the LifeServe Blood Center. Participants then could help themselves to a variety of snacks and bottled water after their donation.
