The Boyd County Powerlifting team traveled to Verdigre on Saturday to take part in the Inaugural Cougar Powerlifting Meet.
The team came home with three team awards
- Junior Team--2nd Place
- Girls High SchoolTeam-2nd Place
- Co-ed High School Team-3rd Place
Individual award winners were
- 1st Savanna Ferris, Issac Jensen, Koy Gonzales
- 2nd Alec Disterhaupt. Liz Arellano, Hunter Mizner
- 3rd Amelia Hakl
- 4th Kaylee Bennet
- 5th Mercedes Brooks
School Records
- Hunter set school records in Squat, Bench Deadlift and Total
- Amelia set a new Bench record
- Liz set new records in Squat and Bench records
