The Boyd County Powerlifting team traveled to Orchard Saturday, April 9th for their AAU meet. The team brought home several medals and finished 3rd in the Coed division.
Individually, Camden Brewer and Isaac Jensen brought home first place. Second place finishers were Amelia Hakl, Kaylee Bennett and Hunter Mizner. Alex Disterhaupt and Addison Birmeier finished third in their divisions. Camden, Hunter, Addison and Amelia set new school records. Amelia set a new state record in the Bench Press.
An additional treat was the participation of Boyd County teacher Bradley Wright in the contest. Mr. Wright finished 1st in his division and totaled over 1200 pounds
