Amelia Hakl competed in the Peru State Powerlifting meet over the weekend, finishing 6th out of 13 lifters in her class. The meet included over 300 lifters from high schools all over the Midwest. Amelia set a meet record in the Bench Press, pressing 180 pounds. This was also a personal best for her. She also set personal bests in the Squat (205) and deadlift (215).
Amelia and the full Boyd County team will compete at Verdigre on February 25.
