Stories from the Butte Senior Living Center

The school year is coming to an end but some memories will last a lifetime. On Thursday, the Kindergarten students were fortunate to be able to hear life stories from some of the residents of the Butte Senior Living. They heard stories about what life was like when these residents went to school. Some went to a public school and some to parochial school but most went to one room school houses. A sight that has now vanished across the state. It was like a living history book for the Kindergarten students and their teacher. Students had plenty of questions for these seniors whom they have become acquainted with this school year. The Kindergarten students also read some stories from their reading books to the residents. The residents were surprised at how well a 5 or 6 year old can read since many of them did not attend school until First Grade. Thank you so much to Anita and the residents for sharing these special memories with us!!
