On Thursday, March 17, eight Boyd County middle school students traveled to Bartlett to participate in the Northern Tier Schools Enrichment Day. The students were Meg Wyatt, Halle Boettcher, Ben Schmitz, Grace Finnegan, Kaci Koenig, Brandon Boettcher, Kayden Kayl and Mazee Johnsonn. The presenters were from the Edgerton Explorit Center, Northeast Community College, NE State Patrol, NE National Guard.
The opening demonstration program was the Raptor Recovery Program and the students viewed live raptors which included a Screech Owl, American Kestrel and a Swanson’s Hawk. After the opening program students broke out to small group session of the following:

Mechatronics
Mallonaut Spacesuit Building
The Octopus (National Guard)
Riddle Solvers (NE State Patrol)
Mobile Welding Lab
Keep a Lid on It
It’s Showtime (Acting 101)
Closing presentation was a Science demonstration of Newton’s Law and was very interactive with the students.
