Spartans vs St. Mary's
The Boyd County Junior High Girls Basketball team hosted St. Mary's on Monday. The team dropped the opening game 14-37. Leading the scoring for the Spartans was:
- Kyla McCarthy - 5
- Maddy Brown - 3
- Cheyenne Boettcher - 2
- Kaylee Warnke - 2
- Selena Whipple - 2.
The Spartans fared better in the second game, winning 20-2. Scoring for the Spartans was:
- Tomi Whipple - 12
- Mya Burns - 4
- Elly Zeisler - 4
Spartans vs CWC
The Boyd County Junior High Girls basketball team hosted their CWC counterparts and came away with a 16-13 victory. The Spartans jumped out to an early lead behind balanced scoring and then held on for the close victory. Tomi Whipple led the team with 6 points, followed by Alaina McBride, Cheyenne Boettcher, Alana Widstrom, Elly Zeisler, and Halle Boettcher with 2 points each. All 18 girls saw action in the game and all contributed to the win.
